U12 City League:
Group - Annaghdown, Ballindereen, Carnmore & Salthill
Competition commenced Sat 29th March with game away to Annagdown. Carnmore had panel of 25 players on the day and all players got a game and Carnmore emerged winners on a scoreline of Carnmore 8-8 to Annaghdown 1-0. Team Captain was Ronan Morgan (7) and there were some excellent performances from Carnmore from players like Eoin Collins, Enda Carr, Aaron Grealish, Ben Murray, Kyle Concannon, Damien Walsh, Damien Dolan, Cian Foy, Diarmuid Newell, but Man of the Match for Carnmore was Ryan Manning (9).
Carnmore's next outing in City League competition was with Salthill at home in Carnmore on Fri last 4th April. Again a great turnout of players and all players present played. Carnmore worked hard and were stronger on the evening even though the final score doesn't reflect it as we missed a lot of scoring opportunities. Carnmore emerged winners on a score line of 4-3 to Salthill 2-0. A number of excellent performances again from Enda Carr, Ryan Manning, Kyle Concannon, Ben Murray, Cian McAndrew, Kevin Feeney, Killian Byrne, Eric Smyth, Damien Dolan to mention a few.
Carnmore's final group game was played Wed 16th April against Ballindereen in Ballindereen. We had a panel of 24 players for this our final game and again some excellent team performances from the players. Team Captain for this game was Raymond Heneghan. Carnmore emerged winners on the evening on a scoreline of 8-8 to 0-0. We now progress to semi finals to be played week of 21st April.
U12 City League Semi-Final draw saw Carnmore v Micheal Breathnach which was played on Thurs 24th April in Inverin. Carnmore had a panel of 27 players who travelled to Inverin for the game. Carnmore proved too strong for Micheal Breathnach and made some changes early in the first half but we had a number of excellent performances given on the evening by the whole team but would like to given special mention to some of our players who came on and who were played out of position on the evening; Ronan Morgan, Damien Walsh, Cian Foy, Damien Dolan, Eoin Collins, Eric Smith, Keith Costello and David Fox. Team Captain for the evening was Ben Murray and Man of the Match was Aaron Grealish. Game finished on a scoreline of Carnmore 7-3 to Micheal Breathnach 4-3.
Special thanks to Team Management Sean Newell, Kieran Finn & Kevin Murray for all their work and to the parents who bring the lads to training and games.
We now progress to U12 City League Final which is to be played week of the 28th April. Venue & Date yet to be confirmed.

U14 Championship
U14 campaign opened with a home game in Carnmore on Mon last 31st March with Ahascragh/Fohenagh. Carnmore failed to get off the starting blocks and missing a few of our stronger players in forwards didn't help as it meant our backs were under intense pressure throughout the game. Ahascragh/Fohenagh had some excellent players in key positions and worked well as a unit and didn't allow Carnmore perform. Carnmore had a lot of missed scoring opportunities in the first half and failed to make an impression on the evening. Some excellent performances for Carnmore - Shane Quinn in goals made a number of excellent saves and Liam Brennan at centre back played very well. Final Score Ahascragh 2-8, Carnmore 1-0
Our next outing was away to Portumna on Mon 7th April, where the team put in an excellent performance and were just unlucky to loose by an unlucky last minute goal to Portunma. We had some excellent displays on the evening but Shane Quinn in goals was once again outstanding. Final Score Portumna 3-4 to Carnmore 3-2 (Scorer's Kyle Concannon 2-0, Ben Murray 1-1, Kevin Hanley 0-1)
On Mon April 14th we played Oranmore Maree in Oranmore. This was a must win game for us to make group play-offs and although we had full complement of players, the team didn't ever really get into the game, which was disappointing for the lads as they were far better than final score line reflected.
Our final group game is against Barna Furbo on Mon 28th April in Furbo.

Minor Championship Result:
Carnmore minors lost out to Liam Mellows in the first round of the minor championship. The final score was 3-9 to 1-10. This wasn't a fair reflection of the game, which was held in Turloughmore, as the teams were even for most of the match. A soft goal and a few soft points allowed Mellows to pull away in the end. Carnmore were down by a goal at the interval but although they held the upper hand for the best part of the second half, the team failed to capitalise. It must be taken into consideration that Donal Fox had returned for the game from an all-Ireland football final.
The team was, 1.Steven Nally 2.Damien Carr 3.Mickey Brennan 4.Cathal Hanley 5.Aiden Reilly 6.Paul Fox 7.Darren Fahy 8.Danny Cummins 9.Martin Talbot 10.Mickey Caulfield 11.Matthew Moran 12.Daniel Fox 13.Aaron Fox 14.Donal Fox 15.Ciaran Fahy. Subs were, 17.Gary Grealish 18.Kevin Kililea 19.Brian McKeown.
