Junior A Championship result:
The junior A's lost their final group game to Gort. The match was played in Ballindereen in some horrendous conditions. The one difference between the sides was that Gort took their chances. Carnmore didn't. The team went into the second half 3 points down and with the strong wind against them. From here on in it was an uphill struggle. Gort continued to take their chances and the possesion in the Gort half quickly decreased. Eventually Carnmore got a lucky break and a 21 yard free could turn the game around, but the Gort defense were too strong and the shot was blocked. Gort got a goal which finished things off, followed by numerous points. Final score Carnmore 0-06 Gort 1-18.

Junior A Championship Result:
Well done to the Junior A's who managed to maintain their Junior A status by defeating Liam Mellows in the final decider of the relegation battle in Junior A. The team, managed by Gerry Giles, put in an outstanding performance in a very entertaining clash that went all the way to extra time.
Carnmore, with the aid of John Paul O'Connell, Michael Paul Flaherty and Gerry Moran, went level at the end of the match with a score line of 0-16 to 3-7. The team pulled away from Mellows in the 20 minutes of extra time, with only a single reply from them in the two extra halves.
Full-Time score (incl. ET): Carnmore 0-21 Liam Mellows 3-8.
