Carnmore Senior Hurlers began their 2008 league campaign with a win against Liam Mellows on Sunday morning 24th February.

Senior Hurling Championship Draw 2008:
The 2008 Senior Hurling Championship draw was made on Wednesday night 23rd January. Carnmore were drawn in a tough group containing county champions Portumna, local rivals Turloughmore, Sarsfields and Kiltormer. The full draw is as follows:
Group A: Liam Mellowes, Craughwell, Gort, Ballindereen, Castlegar
Group B: Carnmore, Kiltormer, Sarsfields, Turloughmore, Portumna
Group C: Padraic Pearses, Beagh, Clarenbridge, Tommie Larkins, Kinvara
Group D: Ardrahan, Mullagh, St Thomas's, Loughrea, Athenry
The draw was also made for the league campaign. Carnmore are drawn with Liam Mellowes, Kiltormer, Kinvara, Beagh, Sarsfields, Ardrahan, Padraic Pearses, Loughrea and Portumna.
