: U-16 Championship victory:
The U-16s recorded their first win in the championship against Sarsfields. The home game gave them a small advantage which was eventually transferred onto the scoreboard. Sarsfields were in control until midway through the first half. Carnmore eventually settled down and some superb defensive work frustrated the Sarsfields team. From this point onwards, the team seemed to grow in confidence and strength. With a half time scoreline of 1-4 to 0-9 in favour of Sarsfields, Carnmore were doing as well as expected. The second half was a mixture of great defensive work and accuracy as Sarsfields only scored one point. Final score Carnmore 1-13 Sarsfields 0-10

Carnmore U-16s are drawn in Group A against Killimordaly, An Spidéal, Salthill/Knocknacarra, Killimor and Moycullen. This will be commencing on 25th June 2007.
